Belt Conveyors

• The Ward Engineering group has designed hundreds of Belt Conveyors and many Turnkey systems.
• The standard range of Ward Belt Conveyors feature the following high performance components:
  • Drives: Normally furnished completely assembled and equipped with a totally enclosed motor, torque-arm reducer, V-belt drive and drive guard. A built-in backstop is provided on inclined units, when required to prevent roll back of loaded belt.
  • Pulleys: Solid steel head and tail pulleys with crown face are standard. Head pulleys can be supplied lagged, if increased belt/pulley friction is required. o Shafts: high strength distortion free ground shafting.
  • Shafts: high strength distortion free ground shafting.
  • Pillow Blocks: Heavy-duty roller bearing pillow blocks are normally furnished. Ball bearing units can be supplied for lighter duty applications.
  • Idlers: We manufacture belt conveyors with CEMA (B, C, D, or E) idlers depending on the application.
  • Belt: Nylon cut-edge belting, features edges that do not unravel, is normally supplied to provide high strength and long life.
  • Stringers: Heavy channel section stringers are provided with cross-angle stiffeners. Heavy gauge deck plates, which prevent spillage onto the return belt, are available if required.
