In the NewsWard is pleased to announce the completion of our engineering software program for designing bucket elevatorsThis new software allows us to provide quick, accurate and state of the art designs for bucket elevators. This program looks at over 600 dry bulk materials and selects the elevator design most suited to the specific material you are handling. From this design we can provide you with either a standard design most suited to your needs or custom design an elevator specifically for your application. Our custom design service is available at fees much lower than you would obtain from consulting firms. This software allows us to hone in on your specific design in hours instead of days like the old ways took. New Product Release: Pre-Engineered StackersNew product release: Ward Industrial Equipment has taken their experiences with stacker conveyors and has broadened the envelope. Empire News Letter - DEVANSCODevansco Wet Air Scrubbers manufactured by Ward Industrial Equipment are dust collectors designed for specific applications where water is used as a filter to collect fine particulate matter and suppress fires when combustible materials are being collected. In the past year emphasis has been put on our Devansco line through technological advances, outside sales and a newly designed web site which have increased sales by 60% with 15 units sold this year to date. To maintain customer satisfaction and to aid in the selection process for our customers, Devansco has purchased new instrumentation that measures the dust produced from these applications. As a chargeable service, a Devansco representative will visit the customer¡¦s facility to determine the size, concentration, and quantity of particulates in their duct system by using the GrayWolf Handheld GW3016 Particle Counter. This instrument measures fine particulates from 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 3.0, 5.0 and 10 micron sizes by drilling a small hole in the duct and inserting the probe. All six particulate sizes are measured simultaneously and used to determine the required static pressure ensuring that each unit meets or exceeds all relevant air quality standards and the customer obtains the most efficient Devansco for their application. Data may then be downloaded using Wolfsense PC software to create trend graphs and/or exported to Excel. Also purchased to assist our customers was a Casella Personal Air Sampling Pump which will collect the fine particulates from an air stream on a filter paper at a specific flow rate when entering the Devansco. The filter paper can then be weighed and the particulate loading determined to make certain that the correct air flow is chosen preventing any dust from passing through the unit. With these new devices and our continued strive towards quality and customer satisfaction, Devansco can look forward to a bright and prosperous future. |
